When designing women’s Kokatat dry suits, in particular, it was critical to incorporate the best-of-the-best technology and innovation for absolute waterproof protection. For this, they partnered with us, pioneers in the technical fabric industry and legendary innovators of high-performance textiles. GORE-TEX® Immersion® Technology outerwear, evolved from our successful work with the U.S. Military overwater flight suit, is ideal for wet activities like fishing and kayaking and perfect for women’s Kokatat dry suits. This special outerwear features 3-layer and 5-layer GORE-TEX® fabrics with a special backer knit laminated on the inside for greater comfort. High-durability GORE-SEAM® tape, which seals each tiny hole created by sewing machine needles, ensures the dry suit is 100% waterproof - even when submerged for long periods. Yet it's also breathable and highly abrasion and puncture resistant, keeping paddlers dry from the inside out. Sea kayakers can rest easy, too, since salt water does not harm the GORE-TEX® membrane or affect its performance in any way.
