Congratulations to Mike J. Ward of St. Paul, Minnesota, whose springtime fishing tale has landed him this month's featured product, the Arc'Teryx Alpha SV jacket, featuring GORE-TEX(R) XCR(R) fabric.
A little cold weather never stops Mike from fishing the northernmost waters of the Mississippi river in pursuit of the elusive channel catfish. But when he unthinkingly jumped into the icy shallows to fetch his dropped pole recently, his Ecco boots saved the trip.
"Luckily, they are lined with GORE-TEX(R) fabric," Mike notes. "Needless to say, my feet never got wet!" And he was able to continue his fishing without a hitch.
That's what we like to hear, Mike! Good luck landing that catfish in your new GORE-TEX(R) XCR(R) jacket!

>>>Care & Wear Tips
* While you're logging miles on the trail this summer, be sure to take the time to give your GORE-TEX(R) boots a little TLC. Help protect the liner after a long day outdoors by shaking out sand, gravel, and dirt, and then wipe out the boot interior with a warm, damp cloth. Keep the exterior cloth or leather clean by wiping with a brush or cloth and a little lukewarm water. Let the boots dry naturally at moderate temps. For more stubborn grime, follow the manufacturer's instructions for use of any cleaning treatments, being careful not to use waterproofing wax or greases that may impair the breathability of the footwear.
