"I guess this should be more of a thank-you note really. My 'dedicated' running friends did a lot of 'workouts' on treadmills this past year, while I had GORE-TEX® gear that allowed me to train outside in the cold, wet New England weather.
I braved Nor'easter storms on many of my runs and it all paid off. I ran my first marathon in Cape Cod this past Halloween in a 2:40 and I am now qualified for the 109th Boston marathon this April! I guess my 'dedicated' friends will just have to watch it from the sidelines or on TV.
Whether I needed waterproof running gear, or something to cut the wind out of the already freezing temps, I could throw on a GORE-TEX® or WINDSTOPPER® jacket and head outdoors. Again, thanks, because running Boston is a marathoner's dream and you guys helped me get there."
