GORE-TEX® Footwear with XCR® Technology

We wouldn’t wear a winter coat for a trail run in the spring. Or a wool hat on a mountain bike ride in Arizona in July. But many times, people will wear the same boots or shoes regardless of the activity or weather conditions. When the sun is hot or the activity is intense, it’s important to wear boots or shoes that will allow feet to breathe and stay cool. Our kid’s GORE-TEX® boots with XCR® Technology are perfect for moderate and warmer conditions and great for higher activity levels and changing conditions when traveling. GORE-TEX® boots with XCR® Technology are engineered to be rugged, durably waterproof and extremely breathable to prevent feet from overheating. The science behind these boots enables optimum heat transfer and excellent moisture management so that even if it’s 90° and humid outside, it’s cool and dry inside our boots or shoes.

To ensure maximum breathability, all kid’s GORE-TEX® boots with XCR® Technology must pass the Comfort Test. In the Comfort Test, artificial feet that can “sweat” like real ones are put into shoes and placed in a Climate Chamber. Water vapor escape and water retention levels are then measured at various temperatures to test breathability of all materials used, from the lining through to the outer material. Only boots that provide the best climate comfort make it to the store.

So don’t forget to keep your kid’s feet cool by lacing up a pair of kid’s GORE-TEX® boots with XCR® Technology.
