GORE-TEX® Performance Shell

Performance Shell is one of the newest additions to the GORE-TEX® product lineup. Just as you would expect from products with “performance” in their name, our women’s GORE-TEX® Performance Shell jackets and other gear are breathable, durably waterproof and windproof and designed to function comfortably in a wide range of outdoor activities. With GORE-TEX® Performance Shell, you can wear the same jacket snowboarding, hunting, or just going for a walk in the woods and still have total weather protection and functional comfort.

GORE-TEX® Performance Shell jackets, pants and other gear are superior for outdoor activities because they block moisture from getting in, yet still allow moisture vapor from perspiration to escape. How? The GORE-TEX® membrane has pores that are 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times bigger than a water vapor molecule—air can get out, but liquid can’t get in. And that means that you stay dry from the inside out. All of our women’s GORE-TEX® jackets and other garments are also constructed to be completely windproof. This trio of waterproof protection, breathability and windproof protection is essential to having a great day in the outdoors.
