More than just tough clothes, our women’s GORE-TEX® Pro Shell jackets and pants are intelligently designed to work better and feel better under extended and extreme conditions. To create jackets and pants that are less cumbersome and allow for a greater range of motion, the GORE-TEX® Pro Shell line utilizes Gore Micro Grid Backer Technology. Gore Micro Grid Backer Technology uses a thin, low denier, low density fabric which reduces the number and thickness of seams to a minimum. This reduces internal abrasion and improves snag resistance so that jackets or pants can easily slide over mid-layers. At the same time, this patent-pending technology produces a garment that is more durable, yet lighter. Some of our women’s GORE-TEX® Pro Shell jackets and pants also come with Extreme Wet Weather Construction for absolute waterproof protection. These technologies, along with the GORE-TEX® membrane create a shell worthy of professionals and brands with which we collaborate.
