Arc'teryx and the GORE-TEX® Brand have changed the game with innovative outdoor wear that provides impeccable performance across a wide range of activities; from climbing, to skiing, to everyday wear and more. Since their iconic Alpha SV jacket's launch in 1998, the first of Arc'teryx's apparel to use GORE-TEX® Product technology, the brands' collaboration have continually raised the industry benchmark for outwear.
As the first jacket developed within Arc’teryx’s System 0 framework, the Sperro SV incorporates a new GORE TEX® Pro Fabric system that rethinks the materials behind a technical alpine shell while maintaining the durable protection required for extreme and extended use.
As a leading technical materials and innovation partner, Gore worked with Arc’teryx to develop an evolved GORE-TEX® Pro fabric construction that incorporates chemically recycled ECONYL® nylon from Aquafil in both the face and backer textiles. At the end of the product's life the nylon materials can be recovered, separated from the GORE-TEX® Membrane, and recycled by Aquafil through the ECONYL® Regeneration Process and transformed back into ECONYL® nylon with the properties required for their intended use, addressing a challenge that many recycled fabrics currently face.
Arc’teryx then adapted this GORE-TEX® Pro Fabric construction for the Sperro SV, a jacket Designed to Persist™. The result delivers the durable protection expected of the GORE TEX® Brand, which is trusted in demanding mountain environments.
