    The partnership between these two legendary brands marks a new chapter for SOREL and an evolution of its iconic heritage reimagined with performance at its core. The Callsign Horizon™ is more than just a new footwear collection; it represents a transformation in creative direction and design philosophy for SOREL. 

    “The launch of the Callsign Horizon collection is exciting for a few reasons,” says Michael Minter, Brand VP at SOREL. “First, it marks the beginning of a significant shift in product strategy in which we are simultaneously restoring the brand's iconic heritage by elevating our commitment to performance, premium materials, and bold design.     The partnership between SOREL and the GORE-TEX® Brand began with a collaboration to take the DNA of SOREL’s legendary Caribou boot and dramatically modernize it into a sleek and versatile silhouette without compromising performance. The integration of the GORE-TEX® Product technology gives the Callsign Horizon™ GTX, and its counterpart the Daystorm Horizon™ city boot, the same dependable waterproof protection found in SOREL’s most rugged icons, yet styled for everyday wear.

    “The GORE-TEX® Brand is an insurance policy on your adventure,” Minter adds. “Whether that’s trudging through freshly fallen snow or getting caught mid-city in an unexpected downpour.”

    While the Callsign Horizon™ is a bold step forward for SOREL, the brand hasn't forgotten its roots. “We aimed to be extremely clear without being clumsily literal,” says Minter. “The goal was to aesthetically and functionally nod to the Caribou while still making something boldly beautiful and true to its purpose.”

    The result is a sneaker that proudly carries SOREL's heritage cues, from the signature heel kick to the buff leather perimeter and cozy felt lining, translated into a refined and urban-ready design.

    As Minter puts it, “one icon begets another.”

    Built with versatility at its core, the SOREL and GORE-TEX® Brand collaboration serves those who move seamlessly from city streets to weekend escapes. When asked where he imagines people wearing the new collection most, Minter says, “All of the above.”

    “We called it the Callsign to imply that it's a communication signal from far-off places by mavericks on the move”. It's this spirit of confident, untamed, and unstoppable movement that defines the partnership between SOREL and the GORE-TEX® Brand.

    The shared values don't stop there, however. Durability is a hallmark of both brands, and both are committed to outstanding product performance. 

    “SOREL makes products built to last,” says Minter. “Sometimes, even multiple generations. Sharing these values with the GORE-TEX® Brand makes the partnership all the more powerful.”

    Looking ahead, Minter sees this launch as the beginning of a deeper creative alliance between SOREL and the GORE-TEX® Brand. 

    “Our mission is to create products that empower bold steps by untamed spirits. As such, we must deliver products that are both visually compelling and functionally confident. We’re most excited to see the expansion of our Caribou, Daystorm, and Callsign franchises as part of our greater mission.”
