    A Fresh Look at GORE-TEX Product Care

    At the GORE-TEX Brand, we believe that gear should last, and that knowing how to properly care for it is just as important as choosing the right piece in the first place. That’s why in March 2025, in partnership with HHV and Sweet Communication, we brought together a group of creators, journalists, outdoor enthusiasts and local community members for a two-day immersive wash, clean & care event in Berlin. Held at Wasser & Schaum, a laundromat turned creative venue, we focused on empowering and educating guests to extend the life of their GORE-TEX Products.


    A Deep Dive into Care

    We centered on three main care stations: washing, drying, and durable water repellent (DWR), where the GORE-TEX Brand team guided guests through hands-on demos and best practices for gear care. Each station offered something unique, from a spray test that let guests feel the durably waterproof protection of our GORE-TEX Product technologies to care instructions tailored to maximise and maintain product performance.

    We also teamed up with sneaker care pros from Solefresh for a special sneaker station, offering on-site shoe cleaning and tips for footwear maintenance.

     


    Next Generation GORE-TEX Products in the Spotlight

    Alongside care demos, we spotlighted our ePE membrane in next generation GORE-TEX Products, a key milestone of our responsible performance journey. Guests could browse new lifestyle styles featuring this next-generation material, with pieces displayed across the event space.


    Responsible Gear Maintenance

    This event was a valuable reminder that taking care of our gear is a mindset that starts with small actions. Whether it’s re-applying the DWR to your favourite jacket or learning how to clean your trail shoes, the event showed that responsible gear care can be simple and can even be a little fun.
