Fashion labels typically use this singular week in Paris to show their Autumn/Winter collections. But this is GORE-TEX: expect the unexpected! Instead, GORE-TEX turned heads with its multi-vision display concept "Selected Memories of Functionality" in its fashion week showroom; a selection of urban lifestyle jacket and footwear highlights from the past few decades. The selection was curated by Stephen Mann, a stylist based in Great Britain.

Stephen first encountered lifestyle jackets with integrated GORE-TEX product technology back in the 90s. He was especially captivated by Errolson Hugh with ACRONYM. Errolson has been working with GORE-TEX materials for nearly two decades and was one of the very first designers to combine function and lifestyle so distinctively. He's still working with our latest product technologies today-whether it's original GORE-TEX GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY™ or GORE-TEX INFINIUM™-incorporating them in his exclusive collections.

In addition to ACRONYM, Stephen selected a range of striking GORE-TEX looks from Stone Island, visvim, Comme de Garcon, Vexed Generation and Supreme to showcase in Paris. The exhibition opened in the GORE-TEX showroom on Wednesday evening, where we kicked things off with a festive get-together for a who's who of the urban lifestyle scene. And what a splash we made! Just a few of the brands present at the event were: Off-White, Palace Skateboard, Arc’teryx Veilance, Heron Preston, ACRONYM, Stüssy, Y3, Norse Projects, Adidas Originals, Peak Performance, Thisisneverthat, White Mountaineering, Salomon and Byborre.

All of these labels have produced jackets or footwear using GORE-TEX technology in the last several years, and some of them also displayed their collections in their own showrooms during this year's Fashion Week. Among others, Off-White and Y3 even showed them on the runway.
