    How would you describe yourself?

    Not so serious… haha

Tell us a bit about your city’s climate. What are your three favorite spots - in the summer, in the winter (outside)? What is your favorite method of transportation and why? How do you prep for bad weather if you spend time outside?

My three favourite spots in Bristol are Leigh woods, Avon gorge, and Snuff Mills. Leigh woods mostly in the winter when it’s wet and cold, this is where I go trail running. Avon gorge and Snuff Mills more so in the summer for rock climbing! Favourite method of transport is cycling for sure. I have an old GT avalanche which is super fun to ride around the city. There’s no such thing as ‘bad’ weather, just bad preparation… haha. I usually just put on a waterproof shell and trousers if the weather turns bad when out hiking/walking.

What are you wearing today? Why are you wearing it, and did you have a particular weather scenario in mind when choosing this piece? What do you love most about your GORE-TEX product?

Today I’m wearing an Adidas Y3 Goretex jacket. I’m wearing it because when I checked the weather, it said there was a chance of rain haha. I bought this jacket to wear more in the city when it’s raining and because it’s super lightweight/packable. I like that it doesn’t have any noticeable branding and was nice to get something a bit different to the usual GORE-TEX jackets out there.

Where and when did you get this... Do you have any special memories connected to this item? If you could go anywhere, where would you like to take this piece?

I actually got this jacket from a shop in Bristol called Jon Anthony. I only got it recently, so no specific memories yet, but I’m sure there will be in the future. I’d like to go to Tokyo.

Why do you think functional clothing has gotten more popular in recent years?

I guess because of ‘gorpcore’ becoming a trend. People enjoy how the clothes look but also the functional side of them.

How do you define the term “comfort” in clothing, in particular technical apparel?

I think being able to go out in any conditions because of good technical clothing is comfort. Knowing you aren't going to get soaked by the rain.

What are you looking for in the next six months and what challenges do you see that you’re excited about?

I think I’m looking to slow down, read more, run more and become more present. As far as challenges, I’d like to enter a few more ultramarathons next year!
