    How would you describe yourself?

Someone once said the perfect balance of “cool” and “nerd” haha

Tell us a bit about your city’s climate. What are your three favorite spots - in the summer, in the winter (outside)? What is your favorite method of transportation and why? How do you prep for bad weather if you spend time outside?

The UK's climate is super unpredictable! In London, it’s hot one minute and cold the next. In the summer, I like to visit nature reserves or beaches like Bournemouth beach or Brighton. In winter, I try to travel and go on safaris, as it gets super cold here in the UK. If I’m in the city, I like to be out and about as I love layering in my outfits.

What are you wearing today? Why are you wearing it, and did you have a particular weather scenario in mind when choosing this piece? What do you love most about your GORE-TEX product?

I’m wearing my Cabela’s GORE-TEX wader, my Studio Nicholson denim, and my Salomons, which were a collab with The Broken Arm. I wore these pieces as today's weather was a bit all over the place. I like to be warm as I get cold easily. The Salomons are some of the most comfortable footwear if I'm doing a lot of walking, so I tend to wear them a lot by default. I first tried on the jacket on a photoshoot, and I just had to have it, so I bought it then and there, and it’s been one of my favorite pieces ever since. The thing about it is you can easily pack it away by folding it into the hood, so if I am traveling about London, I can always have it as an option when the weather takes a sudden turn.

Where and when did you get this... Do you have any special memories connected to this item? If you could go anywhere, where would you like to take this piece?

Well, like I said, I got it on a photoshoot. I have a lot of good memories in this jacket, but that photoshoot, in particular, was a great one as it was a chance to work with a brand I had been keen to work with for a long time. I also think it looks nice too; I get a lot of compliments and people asking “where is it from?” which always makes you feel good. If I could take this jacket anywhere, it would probably be on Safari somewhere in Africa; you tend to go through a lot of different terrains and climates, so I definitely think it would come in handy!

Why do you think functional clothing has gotten more popular in recent years?

It’s hard to say; I think western society is becoming a lot more relaxed in a lot of ways; it’s only natural that people's dress sense should follow suit. Functional clothing offers a lot of comfortability.

How do you define the term “comfort” in clothing, in particular technical apparel?

Clothing that feels like a warm hug but also is super convenient and reliable. Something that puts my mind at ease and helps me keep my affairs in order. It’s not only comfort of the body but comfort of the mind.

What are you looking for in the next six months and what challenges do you see that you’re excited about?

I’m looking forward to traveling more, particularly seeing Asia as it's always been a dream of mine. I’m currently working on a portfolio of wildlife photography, so I am excited to see it all come together and what opportunities will follow from it.
