    The all-new GORE‑TEX ePE (expanded polyethylene) membrane is light, thin, yet strong, and PFC-free with a reduced carbon footprint.     One of them is the Finnish footwear brand Pomar. Pomar is, just like the GORE-TEX brand, dedicated to producing sustainable, high-quality footwear. It is their aim to empower people to enjoy their life on the move.

     

    Founded in 1960, they’re still a family-owned business dedicated to producing sustainable, authentic, high-quality footwear. For 60 years they’ve built a reputation for crafting shoes that combine comfort, quality and usability. Today their mission hasn’t changed.

    Pomar’s passion for helping people enjoy the outdoors is reflected in the use of rugged, durable materials, specialized waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membranes, oiled leather and advanced non-slip rubbers. All Pomar shoes are ethically and sustainably made in Europe, at their own shoe factory in Pärnu, Estonia, passing tough EU standards on working conditions, safety and environment.

     

    For those super cold days, you will stay warm with the PALJAKKA style, an extra warm shearling boot rated to -35 Celcius, equipped with the all-new GORE‑TEX ePE (expanded polyethylene) membrane, which is light, thin, yet strong, and PFC-free with a reduced carbon footprint. This style can be worn in two ways, with the shaft rolled up when the snow is deep or rolled down when the weather is mild.
