Sponsorship is an integral part of our business. We value the dedication and commitment of professional athletes and outdoor enthusiasts who set out every day on exceptional projects around the world. We’re proud to be a partner in their endeavors through garments, footwear and accessories engineered with GORE-TEX or WINDSTOPPER® product technology produced by our partners, which protect them and keep them comfortable in situations when they really need it.

Our sponsorship philosophy is based around specific professional athletes and specific international events. We support projects of athletes who are experts in mountaineering, mountain running, free skiing or ski touring. Through our partnerships we help them to accomplish their projects and our athletes value us as a reliable and trusted partner.

Deep Winter Photo Challenge

Deep Winter Photo Challenge

This annual event at Whistler Blackcomb pits outdoor photographers against one another to capture the best photo and claim the title "King/Queen of Storms".

Over the course of three days, six of the ski and snowboard industries’ top photographers set out to steal souls and capture gold.

The Arc'teryx Deep Winter Photo Challenge presented by the GORE-TEX brand invites six photographers to team up with top athletes of their choice to capture the best photo of the epic powder days, stormy conditions, and deep tree skiing that characterize Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. The photographers have less than 3 days to shoot pictures in and around Whistler/Blackcomb and find the perfect landscape, abstract, and action photos. Top shots are pulled together into dramatic slideshows, and a distinguished group of judges selects the winners. Awards are presented in front of a live crowd -- who also gets to participate in the action by voting to decide who receives the People's Choice Award.
