Skiers and Snowboarders live for this time of year, but campgrounds go desolate at the first sign of snow. Tents are put away until spring and by the time summer comes the trails are packed like the 405 in Los Angeles. But if the heat and insects don’t dissuade people in summer, why should the snow scare us away? If we’ve learned anything in 2015, it’s at we’ll always #OptOutside before anything else. And most things are worth trying at least once and winter camping is at the top of the list (assuming you bring the right gear, of course). Here’s why REI thinks we should camp this winter every chance we get. Photo Courtesy of: REI Blog
